The Middle East is an area where vehicle is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.
But this year, as protests across the Middle East have pressed up the rate of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.
In a region that has among the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one service is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving successful too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
